As an undergraduate student, Rob was awarded both the Agricultural 100 Club and Coy Stennis Memorial Scholarship for his dedication to service and academic achievements. Rob was a member of Men of Excellence (MOX), Day One Leadership Program, Peers Assisting with Students (PAWS), MSU Black Voices, HDFS Pre-Ministry Group, The Fellowship Campus Ministry, Kappa Omicron Nu Honors Society, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Rob was also a TRiO SSS participant and a TRiO College Coach. Rob graduated Summa Cum Laude.

After graduating in August 2017, Rob began working in the Office of Student Support Services (SSS) at Mississippi State University as a TRiO Coordinator. He also began working on a master's degree in Human Development and Family Science. Rob is married and expecting his first child in September of 2019.

Rob said of his time with SI, "The Supplemental Instruction program provided me with both the skills to nurture other students academically and to develop as a budding scholar. The most rewarding aspect of the program was witnessing my personal growth as a facilitator. As a result, I am more confident in my ability to adjust to fast-paced environments and to coach others."
