During her undergraduate career, Lauren was involved with Reformed University Fellowship, Day One, and Chi Omega Sorority. She was also involved with restarting the MSU chapter of Mortar Board, and she volunteered every week at the Boys and Girls Club. Lauren was a Stephen D. Lee Scholar- achieving a cumulative 4.0 grade point average during her college career. Lauren was also a recipient of the Spirit of State Award.

After graduating in May 2018, Lauren got married and made Starkville her home. She also began veterinary school at MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine. 

Lauren said of her time with SI, "As an SI Leader and Mentor, I experienced the reward of helping others while also strengthening my own study habits and leadership skills. The most rewarding aspect of the SI program was the relationships made with the students that I worked with, my coworkers, and with the administration. Through the program, I made life-long connections to support and encourage me along the way."
