As an undergraduate student, Caitlin was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society, and Future Educators of America. In addition, Caitlin served with the Brickfire Mentoring Program, and she was the philanthropy chairman for the Mortar Board Honor Society.  Caitlin was the recipient of the College of Education's Outstanding Teacher Intern Award, and she was a President's Scholar for eight semesters.

After graduating in May 2019, Caitlin began teaching first grade at West Elementary School and coaching cheerleaders at Starkville High School.

Caitlin said of her time with SI, "The SI Program helped prepare me for my teaching career. I was given valuable experience instructing students. Through the SI program I gained confidence and leadership skills. When I helped students reach their full potential, I realized how rewarding my career as a teacher would be."
