What do you enjoy most about being at MSU? 

What I enjoy most about MSU is the genuine sense of community. From the first time I visited campus, I felt like I belonged. MSU wasn't just another university—it felt like a place I could truly call home. The welcoming atmosphere, the connections between students, and the supportive environment made a lasting impression on me. What stands out even more is how invested the faculty are in their students' success. Their willingness to mentor, encourage, and prepare students for their future shows that they care about more than just academics. Knowing I'll be surrounded by people who are committed to helping me grow both personally and professionally is what makes MSU so special to me. 

What is the most important advice that you would give students? 

The most important advice I would give to new students is to get involved early and stay organized. Getting involved in campus organizations, study groups, and university events is a great way to build meaningful academic and social connections that will support both your personal and professional growth. At the same time, staying organized is essential to succeeding in college. Managing your time, keeping track of assignments, and planning ahead for exams and other responsibilities can help reduce stress and set you up for success. By balancing involvement with strong organizational skills, you can make the most of your college experience both inside and outside the classroom. 

Why should students go to SI? 

Students should attend SI because it provides an opportunity to engage with course material in a collaborative and supportive environment. Led by a peer who has recently succeeded in the course, SI offers a fresh perspective and practical strategies for understanding challenging concepts. It also encourages students to ask questions, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and build confidence in the material. Beyond academics, SI helps students connect with their classmates, creating a sense of community where they can learn from one another and support each other's success.

I enjoy traveling, needlepoint, baking, photography, and being with my friends.
